A leading technology-driven financial institution is looking for a passionate full stack Java engineer to build out a state of the art firm-wide risk platform, as part of a complete rebuild of the firm’s risk systems. This is a great opportunity to work for a firm who know business success needs to be built on world-leading technology teams.

Previous exposure to the finance industry is not necessary, but extensive experience coding in Java and JavaScript (Angular 2+) in an Agile, test-driven environment is essential. The successful candidate will have a natural drive for quality and a track record of taking ownership of the projects they’ve worked on, understanding that writing robust code is just as important as fulfilling the requirements of the business. Experience of REST APIs, SQL, CSS and understanding of object-oriented and functional programming will be looked upon particularly favourably.

My client is a leading financial institution that has a history of building high calibre teams of Software Craftsman that have solved some of the hardest problems in the financial domain using the very latest in cutting edge and Open Source technology. You should be a passionate and enthusiastic contributor with a computer science background and a long history of delivering solutions within a financial domain.
